Every month we allow mothers of Black children to write to us about what mothering a Black child means for them and how Afrinanny fits into motherhood. This section of the blog is entitled “Melanin Mommy Moments.” In our current atmosphere of racial and civil unrest, we at Afrinanny recognize the importance of healthy expression of emotions.
There is healing in journaling.
Written words are medication for the soul. If you are interested in having an article featured, please email firstname.lastname@example.org your entry.
It must be:
- describe your experiences in mothering, and
- how a platform like Afrinanny is beneficial to your journey.
If you would like to promote your business or cause, write 2-3 sentences in a separate paragraph at the end of the article and please provide your link. You will be notified if chosen to appear.
Our first author of the month is from Nurse Practitioner and tech founder Dr. Chika Ndukwe. Marvel as she explains her daughter’s journey from self-doubt to self-love in “America’s Portrayal of The Black Woman.“
